Counting the United States, the NFL will play games in six different countries during the 2025 regular season.
The international matchups start in Brazil and will conclude in Spain. Other countries to see regular season action include Germany and Ireland, ubut the appetite for football has become very clear in another nation.
On Thursday, the NFL posted tickets for the three London games this season. The tickets were posted for sale at noon local time in the United Kingdom, and over 250,000 fans queued on the website for access.
Ticketmaster pauses the queue for events that are overwhelmed by traffic and demand. The pause allows for more actual people to purchase tickets rather than automated bots set up by resellers.
Some programs allow resellers to purchase dozens of tickets at a time, enabling some to purchase entire rows or sections of a stadium.
The first game in the United Kingdom this season will come during Week 5 of the regular season, when the Cleveland Browns take on the Minnesota Vikings at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
The following week, the New York Jets will meet the Denver Broncos at the same stadium.
In Week 7, the Jacksonville Jaguars will play the Los Angeles Rams at Wembley Stadium. The Jaguars have become London's proverbial "home team" over the last decade, and this year's game will mark their 14th appearance in the United Kingdom.
The NFL has expanded internationally in recent seasons, with games all over the world. Mexico and Canada have also seen regular season games, and the league has played preseason games in Japan, Australia and Sweden throughout its history.
The NFL even briefly hosted its minor league system in Europe, with teams in Germany and the Netherlands among other countries. Several NFL Europe alumni went on to have successful NFL careers, including Brad Johnson, Adam Vinatieri and Kurt Warner - all Super Bowl champions.
